Real projects, real crews, real Alberta weather. We post nearly every install — drop a follow to see what we're up to this week.
Are metal roofs effective in Alberta?+
Yes — especially in cities like Edmonton that see extreme weather swings. Metal roofs typically last 40–70 years versus 12–20 years for asphalt, won't crack or corrode, and need almost no maintenance.
Do I need a gutter for my metal roof?+
Metal roofs can shed water without gutters, but gutters protect siding, soffits, foundations, and landscaping from water damage. We recommend them on most installations.
Does metal roofing come in different styles and colours?+
Yes. We offer standing seam, metal shingles, and European-style metal tiles in dozens of colours and finishes — from matte black and crystal black to copper, terra cotta, and cherry red.
Will my cell phone signal be affected?+
A metal roof can contribute slightly to weakened reception, but it's rarely the deciding factor — most poor reception is the cumulative effect of all building materials, not the roof alone.
Does a metal roof make my house hotter?+
No — it's a common misconception. Metal has low thermal mass and reflects light and heat. With a heat-reflective coating, a metal roof can actually keep your home cooler in summer.
How much wind can a metal roof withstand?+
Metal roofs are wind-rated to 140 mph by the Metal Roofing Alliance, with some systems rated to 180 mph — more than enough for the worst Alberta storms.
