Siding & Cladding

Modern metal siding and architectural cladding that won't warp, rot, fade, or feed mold — perfect for Alberta's freeze-thaw climate.

Overview

Why homeowners choose IronWrap for siding & cladding

Vinyl cracks. Wood rots. Stucco hairline-cracks every winter. Metal siding does none of those things. Our cladding systems are pre-finished steel and aluminum panels in standing seam, board-and-batten, horizontal lap, and corrugated profiles — each backed by long-term paint and substrate warranties.

Metal siding's biggest advantage in Alberta is what it doesn't do: it doesn't absorb water, doesn't host mold, doesn't attract carpenter ants, and doesn't fade in a generation of UV exposure. The colour you pick today is the colour your house will still be in 30 years.

We coordinate siding and roofing as a system — matching profiles, finishes, and trim details so the whole exterior reads as one designed envelope rather than a patchwork of trades.

Siding & Cladding FAQs

Quick answers to what homeowners ask before they sign on for siding & cladding.

See all FAQs
How does metal siding compare to vinyl or fibre cement?+

Metal doesn't crack like vinyl, doesn't absorb water like fibre cement, and doesn't need repainting. It's a one-time install — virgin steel and aluminum stay flat, pre-finished, and rot-proof for 50+ years.

Won't metal siding dent in hailstorms?+

Heavy-gauge pre-finished panels are tested to handle Alberta hail. We use thicker substrates than the bargain-bin imports, and the textured profiles disguise minor dings even in worst-case storms.

Can I do partial siding — just an accent wall or gable?+

Yes. Many homeowners do board-and-batten on a single feature wall, the gable peak, or a front-facing entry. We coordinate trim and finishes so partial installs read as designed, not patched.

Will the colour fade over time?+

PVDF (Kynar 500) and SMP coatings carry 30-year fade warranties. The colour you pick today is the colour your house will still be in 2055.
